Why do the “Rams” all wear the same uniform?  To identify that they are all on the same team.  Why do married people wear wedding rings?   To symbolize their commitment to a partner.  Why do we Christians get baptized?  To go public with our faith in Jesus Christ.  In the same way, church membership identifies your willingness to formally and publicly align with the mission, values, and beliefs.

There are many reasons for having formal membership:

Formal membership is valuable to the leaders of the church as they guide the church body.  Our mission is to help people connect with Jesus Christ and become fully developed followers of Him.  We have been left on earth by God to reach unbelievers.  So at some point it is important to identify those who truly comprise the "family", the core that can be counted on to build and sustain the ministries of this church.

Accountability.  While it is true that everyone can participate in just about anything around here.  Experience shows that membership benefits the individual.  In a culture where commitment is no longer highly valued, recognizable membership is an important step that moves each of us off the sidelines and into the game.  Members typically feel more ownership in the church. They feel like shareholders rather than spectators.  They usually find it easier to connect with others and build lasting relationships.

So, while you won't receive an engraved plaque or a reserved parking spot when you become a member, you will draw great satisfaction from knowing that you are a part of something bigger than yourself, something eternal.  We want you to partner with us in reaching our world for Jesus Christ.

Do you want a Personal Relationship with Jesus?

How

1) Recognize You Are a Sinner and Separated from God
2) Realize God Loves You and wants You to Have Eternal Life
3) Repent of Your Sins
4) Receive Jesus Christ into Your Heart and Life

It's as easy as the A, B, C's.

Admit honestly to God that you have sinned and disobeyed Him.    The Bible says in Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23 “The wages of sin is death (everlasting punishment).”

No sin is allowed in heaven.

Believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose again. His blood was shed to pay for your sins. The Bible says:

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Because Jesus loves you so much, He took the punishment for you so that you can be forgiven.

Confess your sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to others.

I John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us all unrighteousness”
Romans 10:9-10 – “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”

If you accept Jesus as your Lord say a prayer like this:

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. But I believe that you died upon the cross for me. That you shed your precious blood for the forgiveness of my sin. And I believe that on the third day, you were raised from the dead, and went to Heaven to prepare a place for me. I accept you now as my Savior, my Lord, my God, my friend. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and set me free from my sin. And, because you are my Savior, Jesus,"I shall not die, but have everlasting life".
Thank you Jesus!
